DRIVING ace Tim Tetrick has claimed yet another slice of history.
Thanks to his victory in the final event on the card at Harrah’s Philadelphia last night, Tetrick has become the youngest reinsman to win 10,000 races.
By partnering the Marcus Melander-trained Earl Variera, Tetrick became the 12th driver to join the 10,000 club.
As such, the 35-year-old smashed the previous record set by Walter Case junior, who was 40 when he notched his 10,000th victory in 2001.
Tetrick also boasts the record for most wins in a season when he captured 1189 races in 2007.
In 2008 Tetrick set the mark for the highest season earnings, collecting a purse of $19,734,781.
As for his win behind Earl Variera, Tetrick came with a sweeping run to score in 1:58.2.
