A MIDRACE breather was all Miss Mady needed to capture last night’s Filly and Mare Pace at The Meadows.

After working to the lead, driver Dave Palone eased the tempo with Miss Mady, which had no trouble thwarting the first-over challenge of Miss Read.

The daughter of Brother Lost Soul then had enough in the reserve to score in 1:54.1 – a length in front of her stablemate, the pocket-sitting Tessa Seelster. Fox Valley Charm finished third.

Ron Burke trains Miss Mady, which extended her bankroll to $109,365, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Palone piloted four winners — including three for Burke — on the 12-race card, while Tony Hall enjoyed a treble.
