Captain’s stock in high demand


    VICTORIAN breeding establishment Empire Stallions is excited by the recent sales results in America.

    Not only did its boom stallion Somebeachsomewhere top the pacing section once again, his stud mate, Captaintreacherous, was in high demand as a first season sire.

    Somebeachsomewhere’s progeny averaged $74,717 for 46 youngsters through the sales ring.

    His average price was nearly identical to his 2016 Harrisburg average of $74,400 for 60 yearlings sold.

    Somebeachsomewhere was followed closely by his son, Captaintreacherous, which was a top first season sire.

    Captaintreacherous’ progeny fetched an average of $46,733 for 45 youngster sold.

    Captaintreacherous is the richest and fastest son of Somebeachsomewhere and is available to ‘Down Under’ breeders this season

    With his father’s book full, ‘The Captain’ is poised to take command of a large book of mares.
