EX-PATRIOT Aussies Andy McCarthy and Noel Daley have combined to claim another American major.
The duo attended last night’s Delaware County Fair where they captured the famed $273,250 Jugette with Caviart Ally.
Driven by McCarthy, Caviart Ally began quickly but was unable to cross Blazin Britches, which led the field through the first half in 55.8 seconds.
After enjoying the trial behind the pacemaker, Caviart Ally was angled away from the pegs leaving the back straight.
With the Blazin Britches and Caviart Ally matching strides along the stretch, the latter grabbed the lead close to the wire, scoring by a length. Obvious Blue Chip was several lengths away third.
The Daley-traubed filly stopped the clock in 1:51.6 to be the middle leg of a treble for McCarthy.
