NIGGLING problems are set to sideline outstanding pacer Wiggle It Jiggleit for the remainder of the year.
A champion juvenile, which has developed into a fast-class star, Wiggle It Jiggleit’s preparation has been interrupted by ongoing back troubles.
Owner George Teague confirmed the disappointing news, with the hope the five-year-old can recapture his best next season.
“The timing is not good to make it back this year,” Teague said. “I don’t think it will be permanent, but time is definitely a problem because of his stakes races.
“Because of the schedule I probably would only get an opportunity to race him maybe three times, and coming into the middle of the season it’s kind of tough to have him look like he always did.”
Wiggle It Jiggleit, which has earnings of just under $4million, will be given a lengthy spell as Teague hopes to begin working the gelding again in December.
