FORMER New Zealander Sell A Bit emerged as the fastest femme last night, winning Yonkers Raceway’s $55,000 Filly and Mare Open Handicap Pace.

Away alertly from assigned post position five, Sell A Bit worked around second choice Delightful Dragon just after a :27.3 opening quarter-mile. The track, which had taken on water earlier in the card, wound up yielding equal sectionals of :57, 1:25.3, 1:54.

That was swift enough for the eventual victress, which held off a stubborn, two-move try by Regil Elektra to win by a neck, with Delightful Dragon third.

A seven-year-old daughter of Julius Caesar, owned by Harry von Knoblauch Stables and trained by Peter Tritton, Sell A Bit registered her second win in 14 seasonal starts.
