DAMAGE reports continue to flow in from a tornado which struck in parts of Western New York overnight.
The areas affected include Buffalo Raceway, which has had to immediately cancel all meetings for the remainder of the season.
There have been no reports of injuries to industry participants or horses.
Photos and videos have been frequently loaded on to social media, with extensive damage wide spread, leaving more than 6000 homes without power.
Governor Andrew Cuomo is expected to visit the Fairgrounds to assess the storm damage today.
It’s not the first time Buffalo Raceway has been damaged or forced to abandon meetings due to Mother Nature, with blizzards, snow and lightning storms also factors in recent years.
