DEPENDING on your perspective it is a travesty or a welcome relief…

Having succumbed to a severe lung infection, boom freshman The Storm Inside has been scratched from tomorrow night’s Empire Stallions Vicbred Super Series heats at Bendigo.

In what is shocking news for connections, The Storm Inside will not only miss the balance of the rich futurity, he may be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Premier trainer Emma Stewart confirmed the news this morning, stating the two-year-old’s health was the priority.

“He has a pretty bad lung infection, which means he is out of the heats,” Stewart said. “He is likely to be out for a while, but how long we don’t know yet.

“We are still waiting on a full report, so he may even miss the rest of the season…his health comes first.”

The son of Rocknroll Hanover has been sensational winning his six starts, including a demolition job of the Australian Pacing Gold series.

As mention, perspective is everything, meaning rivals will be breathing a sigh of relief knowing The Storm Inside will be missing from the Vicbred.

The bad news is Stewart has a ready-made replacement in Our Little General!

A highly-talented son of Mach Three, Our Little General has won four of his six starts, with a debut second also to his credit.

“He has done well since the APG Final and is coming along nicely,” Stewart said. “Drawing the outside of the front row in his heat is never easy, but he is good enough to overcome it.”

Stewart also has unbeaten youngster Our Celebrity in a fillies’ heat, with the daughter of Mach Three to begin from the second row.

“She has done well winning her four starts and is also getting better as she goes along,” Stewart said.
