STAR pacer Beautide is close to a return.
Sidelined by several niggling issues, the dual Inter Dominion winner is progressing well according to trainer James Rattray, who stated the son of Bettors Delight is poised for a mid-December comeback.
Beautide’s setbacks meant he missed the opportunity to defend his Inter Dominion title, with heats to start in Perth next week.
Rather than dwell on the disappointment, Rattray has turned his attention on regaining Beautide’s Miracle Mile crown in February.
Beautide captured the 2013 of the prestigious sprint before finishing second behind Christen Me last season.
Ironically, Christen Me also missed the Inter Dominion due to minor health issues and has been set for the Miracle Mile by connections.
“He has been in fast work for a couple of weeks and I’m very happy with the way he has come along,” Rattray said. “I’ll give him a couple of trials next month and look to have him racing just before Christmas.”
