Money too good to refuse

    Sir Lincoln

CHACHINGCHACHING – that’s the exact sound New Zealand connections heard after selling the aptly-named youngster.

In what proved to be an offer too good to refuse, the owners have sold Chachingchaching to Australian interests for a six-figure sum.

The son of Mach Three has won four of his 18 starts this season, with five placings also to his credit.

Trainer Ray Green revealed interest in Chachingchaching began following his eye-catching fifth in the Jewels Final, with the deal finalized after the three-year-old’s victory at Alexandra Park.

“I talked to the owners and told them it was a great offer and there isn’t a lot for four-year-olds in New Zealand, so in my opinion, they should sell him,” Green explained

“I’m sorry to see him go because he is the best horse in the stable, but you have to do your best by your owners, and that is what I have done here.”

Chachingchaching will continue to build on his respectable record in New South Wales.

Green is hoping a young filly will eventually fill the void left by Chachingchaching’s sale.

“I have a sister to Sir Lincoln, who I really like,” Green declared.
